Municipal Calendar

Assessor

April 1: All new applications for veteran's tax exemption must be filed on or before this date to be considered for this exemption.

April 1: New Homestead Exemptions must be filed on or before this date.

July 1: All taxes on real estate and personal property are due and payable on this date. Farm tractors and aircraft must be excised by this date. If not they will be considered personal property for taxation as such.

City Clerk

Dog licenses expire December 31st of each year. Late fee after January 31st is $25.00
Rubbish hauler permits, Taxicab Licenses and Taxicab Drivers' Licenses expire on April 30th.

Planning and Code Enforcement

Planning Board meets the first Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM.
Board of Appeals meets on a need be basis.

City Council

Meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Eastern Aroostook RSU Board of Education

Meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Tri-Community Landfill Hours

8 AM. - 4 PM. Monday though Friday
8 AM. - 3 PM. Saturdays
8 AM. – 12 PM. Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Patriot’s Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day and Christmas Eve.
Closed – New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas
