Attention Potential Election Clerks

Anyone interested in becoming an election worker for Municipal, State, and Federal elections held in Caribou may apply with the City Clerk at the Caribou Municipal Building at 25 High Street. Election workers must be registered voters in Aroostook County, Maine and enrolled in one of the major or minor qualified parties.  Election workers are appointed for two years. All names must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22nd for possible consideration.

Request for Proposals (RFP) Assessing Services

The City of Caribou is seeking proposals from qualified assessment firms/individuals to provide annual assessment services for the City of Caribou, Maine, (hereafter, referred to as “City”) located in Aroostook County, for the 2022 assessment rolls. The City is seeking a firm/individual to serve as its assessor’s agent. The scope of work is to provide annual maintenance work in a competent, timely, efficient, cost-effective and customer service-oriented manner. Please see the complete RFP package below.

Dog Registration

To register your dog(s) you can visit the City Clerk’s Office during our regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please bring the current State of Maine rabies certificate and proof of spaying/neutering.

The cost for registration is $6.00 for spayed/neutered dogs. $11.00 per year for dogs not spayed/neutered. Late fees begin February 1st and is $25.00 per dog.

You can register by mail by sending a copy of your State of Maine rabies certificate and proof of spaying/neutering along with a check to: City Clerk’s Office, 25 High Street, Caribou, ME 04736.
