INCOME LIMITS

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) establishes income limits based on the Area Median Income (AMI) for each county in the state.  These limits are used in determining a family’s initial eligibility to participate in the Section 8 Program administered by Caribou Housing Authority.

In order for a family to be eligible for federal housing assistance through the CHA, the total household income must NOT exceed these established yearly income limits as listed on the table below.

To be eligible for Caribou Housing Authority’s Section 8 Program, your income must be in the Extremely Low-or Very Low- income range.
