Brain Injury Awareness Month @ Caribou Public Library
March 1 @ 8:00 am - March 31 @ 5:00 pm
Join us at the Caribou Public Library for an incredible art display!
We will be featuring the amazing art of the clients at AMHC’s Center for Integrated Neuro-Rehab. This gorgeous display will be available during the month of March in the Piper Reading Room. Stop in to see the accomplishments of these amazing individuals!
As part of National Brain Injury Awareness Month clients at AMHC’s Center for Integrated Neuro-Rehab (an outpatient program specializing in the rehabilitation of brain injury survivors), will be proudly sharing pieces of art that they have been working on over the last several months at the Caribou Public Library. These art projects help to strengthen skills that are helpful in everyday life such as fine motor skills, decision making, problem solving, and memory as well as express creativity, regulate emotions, and provide social engagement.
Every 9 seconds someone in the United States sustains a brain injury. This art exhibition is opportunity for individuals with acquired brain injuries from around the area to engage the community visually regarding how their lives have been changed, and to convey how obstacles are being overcome through art.
