February 16:

All Day: Ice Skating opens on Collins Pond.

6pm: Sled Donation Ceremony in Caribou Rec. gym lobby.

7pm: Guns vs. Hoses Basketball game. Caribou Rec. Center. Food will be available for purchase. Entry fee is $5, children under 12 are free. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics.

February 17:

All Day: Ice Skating on Collins Pond.  Skates will be available to rent in the Teague Park Building.

At the Rec: 11am to 4pm-

The Cary & Pines Penny Carnival: Games, prizes, raffles and inflatables abound inside the Caribou Wellness & Rec. Center Gym! Bring your pennies, dimes and nickels to play! All proceeds will benefit the United Way of Aroostook.

Festivities in Teague Park – 11am to 4pm

Snowman Building Competition: Sponsored by Caribou Church of Christ. Bring your carrots, scarves, brooms and button eyes – whatever it takes to build Caribou’s best snowman or snow woman! Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Cardboard Sledding Competition – Yes, you did read that right! Sledding competitors will be asked to BUILD their sleds out of cardboard. Contestants will be judged on originality, style and functionality.

Broom Ball – Compete in our winner takes all bracket! Sign up your team!

Bombi Rides – Ever had a ride in a Bombardier Ski-dozer? Hop on board and take a tour around the park!

Kids Snowshoe Races – Elimination snow shoe races with age divisions!

Snowmobile Demonstrations & Rides – If you’ve never ridden a sled, let us help! Try out a two-up and see if this sport is for you.

Hot Chocolate & Treats available in The Shack!

Family Snowmobile Ride to Axle Siding – Meet up with friends and family at the Caribou Park & Ride. The Caribou Snowmobile Club will be hosting their annual hot dog roast in Axle Siding – at the intersection of 161, ITS 105 & ITS 83 in Stockholm (10am to 3pm).

At CPAC – 6pm to 9:30pm Frozen Sing-Along with Ana & Elsa: Caribou Performing Arts Center at 6pm. Join the Arendelle gang and sing your favorite songs! Meet Ana & Elsa at 6pm AND after the movie. Thank you to RSU 39 for help with this event. Tickets: $2 per person and available for purchase at the Caribou Rec. Center office (beginning January 19) and will be available at the door.
