Shannon Schinagl, Early Literacy Presenter, will take you through the early literacy skills that children need to master before they learn to read and write. You will see how easy it is to incorporate early literacy skills into your story time, child care, classroom, or at home. These skills are relevant for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, and Shannon will explain how to promote those skills for every age group. The Monday event will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday November 24, 2014 at the Caribou Public Library.
Although there is no cost to attend the class, registration is required. Register by calling The Caribou Public Library at 493-4214. Lunch will be provided at no charge for the Saturday session. Individuals with special dietary needs should indicate as such on the registration form so that accommodations can be made for lunch.
