CHS MUSIC BUILDING FUND

The Caribou High School Music Building Fund is a student-initiated committee that is working towards building a new music facility at the high school. Nearly one fourth of the student body at CHS is involved with the music program, either through the band, chorus, or string ensemble. The current space that the music department is using is not adequate for a program the size of ours. Thus, a new facility is necessary. The committee has been working diligently for over three years to turn these plans into a reality. Click HERE for more information.

The Caribou School System is proud to offer a top quality education program that strives to meet the individual needs of all students. Serving over 1,700 students, a staff of 250 professionals and support staff work together to achieve our vision, "Striving for Excellence - Preparing for Life." This vision reflects the School Department's efforts to ensure high academic achievement for every child and the desire to work diligently in providing the knowledge and skills necessary for students to lead successful lives.

Caribou School System includes: Hilltop School (Grades K-2), Teague Park School (Grades Pre-K, 3 and 4), Caribou Middle School (Grades 5-8) and Caribou High School (Grades 9-12). Caribou Regional Technology Center serves as a trades skills training center for 250 high school students in Caribou as well as Presque Isle, Washburn, Fort Fairfield and Limestone. Approximately 2,000 area residents participate in Caribou Adult Education, which provides post secondary educational opportunities as well as high school and general vocational programming and serves the literacy, vocational and business training needs of the community.

The Caribou School Board strongly supports athletics and other co-curricular activities. These programs are seen as integral and important components of a student's educational experience. In addition, the Caribou Performing Arts Center provides students and adults an opportunity to explore and enjoy the performing arts in a wonderful state-of-the-art theatre setting.
