Homeowners requiring legal assistance or who are facing imminent loss of their home may be provided with assistance by two legal aid organizations, Pine Tree Legal Assistance, and Legal Services for the Elderly, under contracts with the bureau.

The ACAP Team can help you apply for benefits that are paid directly to the landlord and/or utility company and will not be counted as income against the household. All applications are processed locally by ACAP, and payment is typically issued in four to eight weeks. For more information, call ACAP at 764-3721 or apply online at www.mainerentrelief.com.

The Caribou City Council is gauging support for a new Working Board for the Nylander Museum with a revised scope of work.
