Caribou Utilities District Legal Notice

The Caribou Utilities District gives notice to the public that on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 7:30am, at the Caribou Wellness Center, 55 Bennett Drive, Caribou, Maine, The Trustees of the District will hold A PUBLIC HEARING to discuss and hear comments on a proposed water rate increase. The District Trustees will hold the monthly meeting immediately following the Public Hearing. Both meetings are open to the public.

Maine’s Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) Program Application is Available

The program launched this morning and is now capable of accepting applications.

Nonprofits around the state are prepared to answer questions and assist with the application process.

For residents of Aroostook County – Aroostook County Action Program (207-764-3721)

Homeowners requiring legal assistance or who are facing imminent loss of their home may be provided with assistance by two legal aid organizations, Pine Tree Legal Assistance, and Legal Services for the Elderly, under contracts with the bureau.
