Public Safety Facilities Study
Caribou is evaluating public safety needs for the police, fire, and EMS departments. This study is looking at facilities needs based on operations and growth potential, means of consolidating costs, locations for new facilities, and financing options to address needs. A citizen advisory committee is leading the efforts and they will make recommendations to the city council for final consideration. More information is available at the following link.
River Road Reconstruction
Approximately a ½ mile of the River Road, north of the Fort Fairfield bridge, was badly damaged due to spring runoff. This project includes a study of road and surrounding conditions to determine how to reconstruct the road. The city is currently advertising for engineering services for the project.
